Market & Production Outlook

The strong ratings for corn and soybeans heading into mid-August support USDA's bullish yield outlook ahead of the August WASDE report, though the slower-than-average harvest pace in spring wheat and oats may influence short-term supply dynamics.

For corn, Iowa's standout performance offers a buffer against potential weather stress in other states. In soybeans, near-average pod setting suggests the crop remains on track, but late-summer weather will be decisive for final yields.
