AKRON, a leading Argentine manufacturer of grain baggers, extractors, carts, and feed mixers, has closed 2025 with a major milestone: the production of its first machines built in the United States. The company, based in San Francisco, Córdoba, announced that this initial run of grain baggers was completed in a third-party plant in North Dakota, with full AKRON branding and specifications.

"This is a historic milestone for our international strategy," the company stated. "It's part of a three-year global expansion plan focused on manufacturing 'AKRON Made in USA' equipment for the North American market, while continuing to grow our footprint in over 30 countries since 2003."

The North Dakota production is fully financed by AKRON and aims to reduce logistics costs and shorten lead times in key markets like the U.S., Canada, and Australia, where demand for grain handling technology is rising. While the first units off the line are grain baggers, extractors will soon follow.

The company's leadership emphasized that this expansion does not detract from its Argentine operations - on the contrary, it enhances them. "International growth strengthens domestic growth," they noted. By relocating some production closer to international buyers, AKRON ensures that its San Francisco factory can keep up with growing demand at home without compromise.

The project was the result of close collaboration between Argentine and American teams. AKRON engineers traveled to the U.S. to validate the manufacturing process, train local workers, and ensure the same quality and technical standards that define its products worldwide.

This year, AKRON also expanded its domestic network, opening a new Sales and Customer Service Center in Trenque Lauquen, Buenos Aires province. The company continues to distribute an integrated portfolio that includes its own machinery as well as Kubota tractors, DJI ag drones, and Terraplane construction and loading equipment, backed by a 24/7 technical support and parts service highly valued by producers across Argentina.

Looking ahead to 2026, the outlook remains optimistic. Favorable harvest projections, strong livestock and dairy prices, and competitive financing tools point to a promising landscape for both local and international sales.

"AKRON's strategy for 2026 and beyond is clear," the company affirmed. "Continue to innovate, invest, and bring Argentine ag technology to the world."
