Brazil's wheat import line-ups total 4.525 million tonnes so far in the 2025/26 season, considering shipments completed and/or scheduled between September 2025 and August 2026. The volume remains below the level recorded during the same period of the previous season, when the line-up reached 5.836 million tonnes, indicating a slower pace of external supply in the current cycle, despite scheduled shipments continuing through the end of the marketing year.

The distribution of arrivals remains marked by strong geographical concentration. Ceará (CE) leads with 1,040,454 tonnes (23.0%), consolidating its position as the main gateway for imported wheat. It is followed by São Paulo (SP), with 946,418 tonnes (20.9%); Pernambuco (PE), with 596,029 tonnes (13.2%); and Bahia (BA), with 509,728 tonnes (11.3%). These four destinations account for most of the scheduled volume, reinforcing the importance of the Northeast-Southeast corridor in Brazil's external supply logistics.

A second group includes Rio de Janeiro (RJ), with 439,773 tonnes (9.7%); Paraná (PR), with 217,120 tonnes (4.8%); Rio Grande do Sul (RS), with 198,942 tonnes (4.4%); and Paraíba (PB), with 163,661 tonnes (3.6%), all playing a complementary role in the receiving structure. Other states record smaller volumes, including Pará (PA), with 132,610 tonnes (2.9%); Sergipe (SE), with 123,100 tonnes (2.7%); Espírito Santo (ES), with 109,750 tonnes (2.4%); and Maranhão (MA), with 47,900 tonnes (1.1%). Santa Catarina (SC) and Alagoas (AL) record no volume in the current survey.

On a monthly basis, the season's highest volume remains concentrated in December, at 610,000 tonnes. In 2026, flows reached 360,000 tonnes in January, 393,000 tonnes in February, 274,000 tonnes in March, 439,000 tonnes in April and 286,000 tonnes in May. For June, the line-up indicates 418,000 tonnes, while July stands at 452,000 tonnes and August at 151,000 tonnes, showing a recovery in scheduled volumes toward the end of the season.

Regarding origins, in the cumulative period between September 2025 and July 2026, Argentina maintains a dominant position, with 3.563 million tonnes, equivalent to 78.7% of the total considered. Uruguay ranks second, with 292,828 tonnes (6.5%), followed by Russia, with 167,234 tonnes (3.7%); Turkey, with 84,150 tonnes (1.9%); Canada, with 61,990 tonnes (1.4%); and the United States, with 16,516 tonnes (0.4%). Volumes still awaiting final confirmation (TBC) total 30,000 tonnes (0.7%). Cabotage, or domestic coastal shipping, accounts for 310,169 tonnes, equivalent to 7% of the total, concentrated in movements to Rio Grande do Sul (250,084 tonnes) and Paraná (60,085 tonnes).

It should be noted that wheat unloaded at Brazilian ports is not necessarily consumed in the states where it arrives, as interstate redistribution according to flour mill demand is common. In addition, wheat imported from Paraguay by land transport - which, according to official data, totals around 630,000 tonnes through June - is not included in the port line-up figures. This means that the total volume of imported wheat effectively available to the Brazilian market is higher than indicated by maritime data.
